Enough fuel to reach a station

Emergency fuel delivery does one job: it puts enough gasoline or diesel into your tank to reach the nearest station and fill up properly. It is a bridge, not a refill.

Why running dry happens

Usually an optimistic gauge, a trip longer than expected, or a stretch of road with no station where you assumed there would be one. Winter idling burns fuel while the odometer stays still, which catches people out.

There is also the version where the tank is not actually empty: a gauge or sender can fail and report empty while there is fuel in it. If your vehicle has stopped and the gauge reads low, fuel is a sensible first thing to rule out.

Why we do not quote a quantity

How much you need depends on where you are and what you are driving. Committing to a number in advance would mean either over-promising or bringing more than the situation needs. What we commit to is the outcome: enough to get you to a pump.

Once there, fill up properly. Running a tank to empty repeatedly is not good for a fuel pump, and sediment at the bottom of a tank is more likely to be drawn in when the level is very low.

Before the truck arrives

  • Confirm which fuel your vehicle takes. The filler flap, the cap, or the owner's manual will say — please do not guess.
  • Get the vehicle off the road if it will still move, and put your hazard lights on.
  • Note your exact location: an address, an exit, or two cross streets.
  • Work out where the nearest fuel station is.
  • Wait somewhere safe, away from passing traffic.
  • If you are not certain the problem is fuel, mention that too.

How the call works

  1. Call with the details

Call 403-690-2727 with your location, the vehicle, and whether it takes gasoline or diesel.

  2. We confirm the fuel type

Getting this right matters more than getting it fast. The wrong fuel is a far more expensive problem than an empty tank.

  3. Delivery on site

Fuel is added to the tank — enough to reach a nearby station.

  4. Start and go

If fuel was the problem, the vehicle starts. Drive straight to a station and fill up properly.

  5. If it still will not start

Then it was not fuel, and towing to a shop can be arranged from the same call.

Important limitations

Electric vehicles

An EV with a depleted battery cannot be helped by a fuel truck, and we do not provide roadside charging. The vehicle needs to reach a suitable charging location, which means a tow. Flatbed transport is generally the right method, because the drive wheels stay off the road for the whole trip.

Wrong fuel already in the tank

If gasoline has gone into a diesel tank or the reverse, adding correct fuel on top does not dilute the problem away. Do not start the engine. The tank needs draining and the fuel system needs checking, so this is a tow to a shop.

When the problem is not fuel

A vehicle that cranks but will not catch can be out of fuel, or it can have a fuel pump, filter, ignition, or sensor fault. Delivery settles the question quickly, but if the engine still will not run afterwards the next step is towing to a shop that can diagnose it.

Specialty fuels

Standard gasoline and diesel are what we handle. We make no claims about specialty or additive-specific fuels.

Frequently Asked Questions

What quantity of fuel is delivered?

The point of the service is a short top-up, not a fill. We bring what the vehicle needs to reach a pump under its own power, and the amount varies with the vehicle and the distance involved, so no fixed number of litres is promised ahead of time.

Can you deliver diesel as well as gasoline?

Yes. Both gasoline and diesel vehicles can be covered. Tell us which one you need when you call, and confirm it against the fuel filler or the owner's manual if you are at all unsure, because putting the wrong fuel into a tank causes far more damage than running it dry.

I already put the wrong fuel in. Can you help?

Not with a delivery — adding more fuel to a contaminated tank makes the problem worse. Do not start the engine. The tank needs draining and the fuel system needs attention at a shop, so towing is the right service here.

My EV has run out of charge. Can you bring a charge?

No. Fuel delivery is for gasoline and diesel vehicles, and we do not provide roadside charging. An EV that has run out needs transport to a suitable charging location, which means a tow. Flatbed transport is generally the appropriate method, since the drive wheels stay off the road entirely.

The gauge says empty but the car still cranks. Is it definitely out of fuel?

Not definitely. A vehicle that turns over strongly but never catches is consistent with an empty tank, but also with a fuel pump, filter, or ignition fault — and gauges do fail. Delivering fuel settles it quickly: if it starts, the problem was fuel. If it does not, the problem is something else and towing to a shop is the next step.
