Urgent Tow Truck Help in Calgary
24-hour towing for breakdowns and urgent situations. If anyone is in danger, call 911 first — then call us for the vehicle.
If anyone is in danger, call 911 before you call us
That means an injury of any kind, a vehicle blocking live traffic, leaking fuel, smoke or fire, or a vehicle sitting somewhere that puts people at risk. Emergency services handle the scene; we handle the vehicle once the scene is safe. A tow truck is not a substitute for an ambulance, the fire service, or police.
Situations that cannot wait
An emergency tow is the one you did not plan for: the vehicle has stopped, and leaving it there is not a reasonable option.
The vehicle stopped without warning
Engine trouble on Deerfoot, a transmission that lets go pulling out of a lot, overheating in summer traffic, a car that turns over but will not catch on a cold morning. The common thread is that it will not move and you had no plan for where to put it.
Some have a faster answer than a tow: a dead battery is often solved with a battery boost, an empty tank with fuel delivery. We would rather send the quicker service.
The vehicle cannot stay where it is
A breakdown in a traffic lane, on a bridge, or in a lot about to close is urgent regardless of the mechanical fault. So is a collision-damaged vehicle once emergency services have finished. The priority is getting it out of a place it should not be; the destination can be settled once it is moving.
Winter adds its own: a car nosed into a snowbank, parked in on an unplowed street, or sitting on ice with no traction.
What to do while you wait
- Get the vehicle out of a live lane if it still rolls and it is safe to do so. If not, leave it.
- Hazard lights on — at night or in poor visibility this matters most.
- Get yourself somewhere safe. Behind a guardrail beats sitting in a vehicle traffic is passing closely.
- Pin down your location: a street address, an exit number, a nearby business, or the nearest two cross streets.
- Keep your phone reachable.
- Have the keys, and clear valuables out of the cabin if the vehicle may end up somewhere closed.
How an emergency call runs
You call
Tell us where you are, what the vehicle is, and what happened. If you are unsure whether 911 is needed first, say so.
We work out what is needed
Sometimes the answer is roadside assistance rather than a tow. If it is a tow, we check it is a light-duty job we can load.
A truck is sent
You get the best timing picture we have. We do not invent an ETA to make the wait sound shorter.
Loading on arrival
The operator assesses the position, the surface, and the access before loading the vehicle onto the deck.
Where it goes
Your repair shop, a dealership, or your home. You choose.
Honest limits
- We are light-duty only. Commercial trucks, buses, RVs, and heavy equipment need an operator with medium-duty or heavy-duty gear.
- No fixed arrival times. Calgary traffic, weather, and call volume make any promised number unreliable.
- Towing begins when the scene is safe and legally accessible, not before.
- Not every vehicle can be loaded. Condition, position, dimensions, access, and safe working space all decide it, and some recoveries need equipment a flatbed does not carry.
- We do not carry out repairs. The vehicle goes to a shop and the diagnosis happens there.
- If police have instructed that a vehicle be moved a particular way or to a particular place, that takes precedence.

Frequently Asked Questions
Should I call 911 or a tow truck first?
911 first, every time, if anyone is hurt, if the vehicle is blocking live traffic, if fuel is leaking, or if its position puts anyone at risk. Emergency services deal with the scene; towing happens afterwards. If nobody is in danger and the vehicle is somewhere safe, call us directly.
How quickly can a truck get to me?
We do not quote a fixed arrival time, because it would be a guess. It depends on where you are, the time of day, road and weather conditions, and what is already active. We will give you a realistic picture when you call.
Can you tow my vehicle after a collision?
Once the scene is safe and emergency services have finished, usually yes. Collision-damaged vehicles are normally loaded onto the deck rather than towed on their wheels. Whether a particular vehicle can be loaded depends on the damage and where it has come to rest; if it cannot be winched under control, specialised recovery equipment is needed and we will say so rather than attempt it.
Is emergency towing available overnight and on holidays?
Service is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, including nights, weekends, and statutory holidays. A breakdown at 3am on a long weekend is an ordinary call for us.
My car is stuck in a snowbank. Is that an emergency tow?
It can be, depending on how the vehicle is sitting. A car nosed into packed snow on a residential street is usually straightforward. One down an embankment, on ice, or needing a winch from an awkward angle may call for recovery equipment beyond a light-duty flatbed. Describe the position when you call.
